Guatemala-headquartered Banco de Desarrollo Rural (Banrural) has selected a host of systems and platform from technology vendor Oracle FS.
Banrural has signed up for Oracle Flexcube Universal Banking, Oracle Banking Payments, Oracle Banking Trade Finance, and Oracle Banking Treasury Management.
Banrural is the second-largest bank in Guatemala, with around $9.5 billion in assets.
The bank operates 2,000 rural savings banks and operates around 6.6 million deposit and savings accounts.
This is the first known deal for Flexcube in Guatemala. FinTech Futures understands that it beat out competition from Fiserv.
Flexcube will replace Banrural’s legacy Cobis core system, provided by regional vendor Cobiscorp.
